TOKYO: Sony is working on a new mid-range device, dubbed Lavender, which was supposed to have a full-HD display with a MediaTek MT6752 chipset (64-bit octa-core) and come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Now a new report from the same source has leaked images of the purported smartphone.
The edges of the leaked pictures are quite roughly cut but the image reveals a design with pretty slim bezels. The design is reminiscent of the Xperia C3 and C4, minus the thick bezels on the previous generation phones. The leaked image shows a big front facing camera module assisted with a flash just like the one found on Xperia C3 and Xperia C4.
Sony is trying to make a comeback in the mid-range segment, facing off with the likes of HTC, Xiaomi and OnePlus. The device has not been mentioned by Sony so we are assuming it is still in works and will launch in the latter half of this year and since these are initial rumours, we will suggest you take it with a grain of salt.
