Sony to start highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia Z2, Z3 Compact, Z3 users

TOKYO: Sony Xperia Z2, Z3 Compact and Z3 users are waiting for a long time the launch of highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update. To make things worse, Sony has been very quiet on the subject.

Well, the pain of waiting will soon come to an end. According to recent reports from Australia, local carrier Vodafone has confirmed that it has received the Android 5.0 Lollipop and is running some test on it.

In addition to that, it was revealed that the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 will all be receiving the Android 5.0 update at the same time next week. Of course this is for the Xperia users from Australia.

Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 users from the rest of the world don’t have to feel disappointed by this as Vodafone shared that the update will be launched starting with the Oceana region before going global. As such, users can expect to receive the Android 5.0 update before the end of April.
