CAPE TOWN: South African Government is facing a deadlock situation with public sector union on the issue of wages. The government offered 5.8% increase in wages but at the same time the public sector union demands 10% increase this resulted into a dispute and a deadlock in talks between Government and Union.
“The secretary of the bargaining council will now appoint a conciliator to help the parties reach an agreement and settle negotiations,” said source told Reuters.
