MADRID: Officers of the Customs police have seized 360 kilos of hashish in Algeciras in the province of Cádiz from a car 360 kilos of hashish seized from stolen car in Algeciraswhich is believed to have been stolen from Manilva in Málaga.
The swoop followed the detection of a boat which landed on Sunday in the Tonelero area of La Línea de la Concepción, where officers observed the driver of a motor vehicle setting off at high speed. The ensuing chase ended when the fugitive crashed and continued his getaway on foot, and it was later discovered that twelve bundles of hashish were being transported in the vehicle, which was equipped with false number-plates. The boat, meanwhile, turned around and headed back out to the Straits of Gibraltar without being intercepted.
