MADRID: The Spanish group Avanza has won the tender for the franchises to run the Lisbon bus and metro system, Lusa learned from an unnamed source at the Ministry of the Economy on Friday.
State Secretary for Transports, Sérgio Monteiro had announced Monday that there were three joint bids for both transport systems with Avanza joined by the Paris transport operator RATP and the British corporation National Express.
There were also individual bids for the Carris bus service and the Metro but it would seem as though Avanza has become the preferred bidder with no other details currently availabl
