Running on Windows 8.1 with Bing Operating System (OS), the gadget comes with one year of Microsoft Office 365, built-in 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 that allows consumers to surf the internet at optimal speeds, anytime, anywhere.

Retailing at Sh30,000, the gadget is targeting Kenya’s entrepreneurial market that values mobility for increased productivity.

Tecno Mobile Deputy General Manager for tablet business unit Steven Hang said the product will allow users to transition smoothly from business to lifestyle by giving them the power of a laptop and the freedom of a tablet.

With the successful launch of the gadget in Nigeria earlier this week, Hang said; “Kenya is a key market for us and the launch of the Tecno WinPad 10 demonstrates our commitment to providing innovative products to our customers.”

The tablet is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor, and comes in a package inclusive of the keypad and keyboard cover. It comes with major benefits too.

According to Tecno Mobile, the device will be upgradable to Windows 10 for free when the software becomes available later this year. Users will also like it because of its easy fit into suitcases and handbags which allows them to transition from office, to class, type notes for students or preparing a presentation on the go. TECNO Winpad 10 will be available in Safaricom shops countrywide.
