3 key posts in Sindh Board of Revenue lying vacant for several months

KARACHI: At least three key-posts are vacant in the Sindh Board of Revenue, badly affecting routine work in the department.

Sources said that three significant posts in board, including Member Land Utilization (LU), Member-Judicial-II and Member-Judicial-III are laying vacant for the last several months, adding that all the posts are of Grade-20 officers.

The sources informed Customs Today that the work related to the Land Utilization is being affected badly due to the non-appointment of regular Member LU.

The sources further informed that the Member-LU is a significant post as all lands is almost fallen in the jurisdiction of the Land Utilization Department of the board.

When contacted, Senior Board  Member Muhammad Waseem said that the board has already informed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Chief Secretary Muhammad Siddiqui Memon about the vacant posts.

He told Customs Today that the high authorities, including the chief minister and the chief secretary have assured the board that the vacant posts, including Member-LU, Member Judicial-II and Member Judicial-III would be filled soon and competent officers would be appointed on the vacant posts.
