TOKYO: Tokyo stocks ended 0.20 percent lower on Wednesday, after see-saw trading with the market pressured by profit-taking and a firm yen, following a weaker-than-expected US retail sales report.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 38.92 points to end at 19,869.76, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares eased 0.13 percent, or 2.01 points, to 1,588.81.
