Kissan Ittehad blames TCP for depriving farmers of Rs 30 billion govt subsidy

MULTAN: Vice President of Pakistan Kissan Ittehad Rai Tariq Kharal has said that the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has exploited the economic rights of farmers through cotton purchase. Kharal also said that the TCP has snatched almost Rs 30 billion of the government relief subsidy for the farmer.

He said that government has announced to purchase 10 million cotton bales through trading corporation to provide financial assistance to farmers in time of cotton crisis. He openly criticized the Pakistan Trading Corporation in the purchase of Cotton, as due to their complicated purchase method farmers had to sell out their cotton on low price.
