Training on WeBOC for stakeholders of transit trade held

KARACHI: The Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) in collaboration with Directorate General of Afghan Transit Trade, Customs conducted two-day training for stakeholders of transit trade on Web Based One Customs system (WeBOC).

PAJCCI Vice President Engr Daroo Khan Achakzai inaugurated the training wherein he highlighted role of the joint chamber and significance of WeBOC in transit trade.

WeBOC is developed to provide one window operation for all Customs needs and promote paperless system. It is an online clearance system which is operational for both commercial and non-commercial cargo of transit trade. The training held from February 28 to March 1, was conducted by WeBOC Senior Manager Arshad Hussain. The session was targeted at traders, clearing agents, shipping agents, Customs officers and terminal operators at Chaman. The PAJCCI also had invited delegation of traders and other stakeholders from Afghanistan to the training. On the occasion, the stakeholders appreciated the PAJCCI initiative and stressed the need for such session in the future.
