ANKARA: In March 2016 Kazakhstan exported 26.43 KMT of wheat bran which is 2.5 times more than in March 2015 (10.91 KMT). In the first half of the current season Kazakhstan increased wheat bran exports by 20% – to 106.46 KMT. Uzbekistan remains the main buyer of Kazakh wheat bran with almost 94% in total export share.
Also Turkey increased purchases of Kazakh wheat bran. In February-March 2016 Turkey imported 3 KMT against 0.7 KMT over the whole 2014/15. It is possible that Turkey may continue to increase imports at the background of growing Kazakh wheat bran exports this season.
