ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Government on Friday signed an agreement with Turkish Power Company Zorlu Enerji Holding to set up a solar power plant in Bahawalpur’s Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park.
The 100 megawatt solar power plant is expected to be established in six months and will provide cheaper electricity to the public at a lower rate, Radio Pakistan reported.
As the agreement was being signed, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the provincial government hopes to benefit from the expertise of the Turkish company in the energy sector.
