Twitter introduces ‘App Graph’ to track illegal download of third-party apps

NEW YORK: Twitter has introduced a new feature called ‘App Graph’ which will enable the popular micro blogging service to see the other apps which have been installed by users on their mobile devices.

The new App Graph feature will essentially give Twitter the ability to track all the third-party apps which users have downloaded on their iOS and Android devices. Twitter has, however, asserted that it will not collect users’ personal information from within the apps.

To incorporate the App Graph feature, Twitter has made a change in the terms and conditions of its app, and has also launched a support page to explain what it will be doing with the new feature. Obviously, the wording used by Twitter has been designed to sound that the App Graph feature will beneficial for Twitter users.
