KIEV: In 2014/15 MY, Ukraine exported more than 25 thsd tonnes of sunflower meal to Asian countries, which significantly exceeded the index of the season-2013/14, declared the commodities markets analyst at Delta Wilmar CIS, Christina Serebryakova on October 14, during her report at the conference International Sunflower Oil Symposium.
According to her, Thailand (38%), Vietnam (30%) and India (26%) imported the largest volumes of Ukrainian sunflower meal among Asian countries. In turn, in the reporting period the company Delta Wilmar CIS exported 3 thsd tonnes of sunflower meal.
The expert noted that China will join to the reporting Asian destinations. According to the results of inspection carried by the Chinese delegation in May 2015, in August four Ukrainian enterprises (Delta Wilmar CIS LTD, Odessa Oil Extraction Factory, Melitopol Oil Extraction Plant and Creative ) were approved for sunflower meal exports to China, according to APK-Inform.
C.Serebryakova explained that trading operations will start after the official signing of the protocol, which will take place at the end of December 2015, according to expectations of the market participants.
The analyst added that Delta Wilmar CIS has the key advantage is having distribution channel in China – the partner company Yihai Kerry. The company sells feed raw materials in China at the level of over 1.2 mln tonnes annually.
