US Border Petrol seizes illicit marijuana worth $653,000

GARCENO: US Border Patrol agents have seized more than 800 pounds of marijuana worth of $653,000 in this town near Rio Grande City here the other night.

Agents responded to Bazan Road around 11 p.m. where they observed several subjects carrying bundles of suspected narcotics. Once they arrived to the area, the bundles were left abandoned and no arrests were made, authorities say.
