TEXAS: US Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South Station apprehended a subject previously convicted of murder.
Agents were conducting their assigned duties near Highway 59 and 359, when they apprehended a group of undocumented immigrants. During processing, record checks revealed that the male subject, 52, from Mexico, had been charged and convicted in 1992 for murder, in Jacksonville, Florida. The subject was sentenced to 20 years and was released in 2002, after serving 10 years.
The subject is an aggravated felon and will be processed for re-entry into the United States (8 USC 1326) and will be presented in Magistrate Court in Laredo, Texas.
