STERLING: US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) at Washington Dulles International Airport arrested a Mexican citizen, 23 year old wanted by the Frederick County, Va. Sheriff’s Office for Felony Check Fraud.
Emanuel Munoz Morales citizen of Mexico and U.S. permanent resident living in Martinsburg, W. Va., arrived on a flight from Mexico. CBP officers determined Morales to be subject to an arrest warrant issued by the Frederick County, Va. Sheriff’s Office for Felony Check Fraud. The officers verified the validity of the warrant and confirmed extradition. Morales was arrested by CBP and turned over to Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority police for extradition.
CBP placed an immigration detainer on Morales, who holds U.S. permanent resident status, which ensures that he is returned to CBP upon the adjudication of any charges for further immigration processing.
