HANOI: Vietnam imported 13,400 cars from China in the first five months of 2015, a surge of 295 percent from a year earlier, the Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper reported, citing Vietnam customs’ data.
Car imports from countries such as South Korea, Thailand, India and Japan also jumped in the five-month period, bringing the overall number to 45,700 units, a surge of nearly 129 percent from the same period last year, the report said.
