WeBOC being simplified to facilitate business community: Yousfani

SIALKOT: Director Directorate of Reforms and Automation, Customs Karachi, Abdul Majid Yousfani has urged the Sialkot exporters, importers and traders to focus on the automation and get the full benefits of Web Based One Customs’ (WeBOC) “E-Form”.

He said that WeBOC system has been simplified and streamlined for providing maximum facility to the business community and this step would also be helpful in saving the maximum time of the businessmen, enabling the businessmen to be competitors in the international trade markets. The WeBOC system has been advanced for the facilitation of the business community by taking all the stakeholders into confidence, he said.

He stated this while addressing the participants of a day-long seminar on “Rollout of E-Form Module under WeBOC” organized by Directorate of Reforms and Automation at SCCI Auditorium Sialkot in active collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and SCCI.

Fazal Mehmood, Director Exchange Policy Department SBP, Zulfiqar Ali Khokhar, Additional Director SBP Karachi, Muhammad Arshad, Senior Official Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL), Khawaja Khurram Naeem, Additional Collector Customs Sialkot, SCCI President Fazal Jillani, SVP Mir Alamgir Meyer, VP Malik Naseer Ahmed, Central Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), Ejaz A. Khokhar, leading exporters, bankers and customs officials were also present on this occasion.

Abdul Majid Yousfani added that the WeBOC system was being expanded by taking the business community into confidence, as the flaws were also being removed successfully in the system following the suggestions/ complaints submitted by the business community.

He also announced to set up E-Form help desks at SCCI and Model Collectorate of Customs Sialkot for facilitation of Sialkot business community.

He said that WeBOC’s automated E-Form was trade-friendly aiming at providing the maximum facilities to the exporters, importers and traders under one window, which would boost the national economy, besides, paving the ways towards the milestone of goal of economical stability in the country.

He said that in this advanced economical era, now there would be no exports without the automated E-Form, as it would be a pillar and foundation of growth of national exports. He said that E-Form would also help to halt the business frauds and forgery cases as well, saying that this paper-less system was safe and secure from every aspect,  which would save the precious time of the businessmen, besides, reducing the cost of doing business to a great extant, in this regard.
