White House gives nation’s highest honor science medal to perofessors

WASHINGTON DC: Professors of The University of Michigan political science and public policy is getting the nation’s highest honor for achievement in science and technology from the White House.

President Barack Obama selected Robert Axelrod and nine others last month for the medal. Axelrod is listed to receive the National Medal of Science on Thursday during a ceremony in Washington

For more about Axelrod he is also has received a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” and has been inducted into the National Academy of Sciences. And Axelrod also wrote “The Evolution of Cooperation,” which deals with de-rising conflict. Axelrod work draws on evolutionary biology, psychology and artificial intelligence and his interests include international security.
