LONDON: WordPress launches official Twitter plugin that will provide number of features to its users. It will also allow users to post WordPress content to Twitter in a unique way by using Twitter Cards. It will give more visibility to one’s tweet beyond a simple hyperlink.
Hence, users will be able to add additional content to the post they make on Twitter. It will give more exposure to the content hosted on their WordPress site.
In addition to Twitter Cards, users will also be able to embed tweets into their WordPress sites and incorporate embedded Twitter videos as well. They will also have the option of choosing the colour of the embedded tweet to match it with their WordPress site’s theme.
Last but not least, WordPress users will be able to provide Tweet and Follow buttons directly in their content. This will allow the readers to interact with the writer directly on the Twitter. Again, this is not a new feature as users have been doing this by using third party plugins. It is just that all of these features are now officially available.
