KARACHI: With the Chinese assistance, the construction of a 1000 megawatt nuclear power generation plant has started at Hawksbay shore here while the plant will complete at a cost of $4 billion.
The project will take take seven years for completion and starting generating electricity for the metropolis. After completion, the nuclear plant will help steer the country out of energy crisis; however. It was hoped that the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency would have considered various factors before allowing the construction.
