$119 million project: Financial close for 49.5MW wind power plant achieved

LAHORE:  Tenaga Generasi Ltd and Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) have agreed on the financial close of 49.5MW wind power project located in Mirpur Sakro, District Thatta, Sindh .

Tenaga Generasi Ltd CEO Inam ur Rahman and AEDB CEO Asjad Imtiaz Ali signed the financial close documents of the project, which will add a minimum of 135 GWh of electricity each year to the national grid. The total project investment of $119 million is financed through local and foreign lenders that include: IFC, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), HBL and Soneri Bank Limited.
