LAHORE – The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab has approved 12 development projects to be completed at a an estimated cost of Rs4.89 billion.
In the 33rd meeting of PDWP of current fiscal year 2014-15, these projects were okayed. The meeting was presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, as per P&D spokesman.
The approved development schemes included: preparation of master plan for water supply, sewerage, drainage and groundwater management system for Sheikhupura, Kasur & Nankana Sahib District (PC-II) will be completed at a cost of Rs159.28 million, replacement of outlived sewer lines in WASA Multan at the cost of Rs. 1000.213 million, comprehensive sewerage/drainage scheme Taunsa Sharif including tuff tiling of streets at the cost of Rs. 495.667 million and rehabilitation/extension of sewerage/drainage system of Mian Channu City District Khanewal at the cost of Rs299. 976 million, detailed the spokesman for P&DD.
The other projects are: urban drainage PCC and brick pavement scheme Kasur City District Kasur at the cost of Rs457. 681 million, rehabilitation of Eastern Sadiqia Canal RD 0+000 to 245+000 (balance work), Bahawalnagar at the cost of Rs. 257.149 million, construction of alternate buildings in D.G.Khan Canals Division D.G. Khan (revised) at the cost of Rs.288.739 million and widening/improvement of road Gujranwala Byepass Awan Chowk in District Gujranwala at a cost of Rs.327.
