12,000 cotton bales change hands between Rs4200-Rs5250 as market remains steady

KARACHI: Continuous demand has caused stable trend in cotton market as in the ready session, over 12,000 bales of cotton changed hands between Rs4200 and Rs5250.

According to the dealers, the prices of seed cotton in Sindh were recorded at Rs1900 and Rs2350, and in Punjab rates were at Rs 2000 and Rs 2650.

The following deals reported: 400 bales of cotton from Tando Adam at Rs4200, same figure from Shahdadpur at Rs4700, 500 bales from Khanpur Mehar at Rs5200, 400 bales from Ghotki at the same rate, 800 bales from Bahawalpur at Rs4700-5000, 400 baels from Faqirwali at Rs4900, 500 bales from Shujabad, 400 bales from Basti Malook at the same rate, 1200 bales from Haroonabad at Rs4900-4915, 1000 bales from Fort Abbas at Rs4925, 600 bales from Feroza at Rs5050, 800 bales from Ahmedpur at Rs5150, 500 bales from Liaquatpur at Rs5150, 600 bales from Yazman Mandi at Rs5200, same figure from Rahim Yar Khan at the same rate, 800 bales from Sadiqabad at Rs5240, 500 bales from Dera Gazi Khan at the same rate and 600 bales from Mianwali at Rs5250, they added.
