$143k worth of meth seized by CBP officers

TUCSON:  U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of San Luis arrested a 38-year-old Mexican national in connection with a failed attempt to smuggle nearly 48 pounds of methamphetamine into the U.S.CBP officers at the Port of San Luis discovered packages of meth, hidden inside the rear quarter panels of a smuggling vehicle

Officers referred Adolfo Valdez-Dominguez, a permanent legal resident of Yuma, for a secondary inspection of his Honda sedan when he attempted to enter the United States April 29. After a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted to the presence of drugs in the rear quarter panels, officers found nearly $143,000 worth of meth.
