15-day visit: IWCCI delegation sets off for India to strengthen trade ties

ISLAMABAD: Led by founding Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) president, a delegation of women entrepreneurs set off on a 15-day for India through Wagah Border to explore opportunities for bilateral trade and discuss non-tariff barriers and visa policy.

Founding IWCCI president Samina Fazil and former FPCCI Vice President Naima Ansari with other delegates are scheduled to participate in expos and conferences at New Delhi, Agra, Ajmer and Jaipur and meet the top Indian trade officials.

Prior to departure, Samina Fazil expressed hope that headway would be during the visit, adding that efforts were being made for the growth and promotion of trade and economic activities and the establishment of cordial relations between the two countries.

She hoped meetings with the officials of International Federation of Women Entrepreneurs, Progress, Harmony, Development (PHD) Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry would be fruitful.
