15,000 agri tube-wells legalised, power production up from 400MW to 700MW: Balochistan CM

PISHIN: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that the provincial government has legalised 15,000 agricultural tube-wells and increased the power generation capacity from 400MW to 700MW.

He said this, after inaugurating the construction work of a park at Band Khushdil Khan Dam in Pishin district which would cost Rs57 million.

Addressing the ceremony, he said, “We have provided Rs8 billion funds for the development of agricultural sector.”

The chief minister also attended concluding ceremony of Haiwad Sports Festival at the dam and announced Rs02 million for the sports festival. Speaking on the occasion, he said that organising a sports festival was evidence that law and order situation has improved in the province. “I congratulate people of Pishin for organizing a sports festival,” he said adding that a sports festival would also be held in Turbat soon.
