1,560 properties sealed, Rs26m recovered: Excise Dept’s crackdown against tax defaulters at full swing

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation’s (E&T) Property Wing has launched a crackdown against the property tax defaulters and sealed 1,560 commercial and non-commercial properties including Sozo Water Park over non-payment of taxes and Rs26 million recovered.

The Excise Department after serving notices to the tax defaulters, started the crackdown against influential people. The Excise officials also sealed the property of Kashmala Tariq, former senior politician of PML-Q and recovered Rs340,000 tax amount.
