Based on the information, they increased their vigilance after the flight of the airlines landed at the airport around 11:30 am.

Later, they challenged a man named Siraj, who was about to leave the customs hall of the airport carrying two protocol bags, around 1:15 pm.

Asked about the bags, he said the owner of the bags is a VIP, who was waiting in the VIP lounge.

As the so-called VIP was not found, the Customs officials came to know after checking passengers’ list of the flight that the name of the VIP is Saiful.

After searching the two bags, 161 gold bars and 100 expensive mobile phone sets were recovered, Othello said.
