RAWALPINDI: The residents of as many as 16 localities of Rawalpindi are facing trouble due to growing number of cattle-pens in the city.

In most of the areas dung and manure have blocked sewerage lines, causing pungent and populating areas of the city. Infectious and contagious diseases are also spreading due to these blockages. The locals said that the authorities have almost gave-in to the livestock owners as several complaints on their part have gone down the drain as cattle-pens continue to operate with impunity.
