LAHORE: More than 16,000 metric tons Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been of imported in February and about 6,000MT more is expected within a week.
The imported product, when imported thorough sea routes, costs around Rs67,000 per MT whereas the price of local product varies from 72,000/- to 77,000/- per MT.
LPG marketing companies’ LPGAP has requested the Ministry of Petroleum and OGRA to take immediate notice of high price of LPG.
LPGAG Chairman Farooq Iftikhar said that some unscrupulous importers are selling low quality and cheap LPG and playing with the lives of the masses.
