QUETTA: An 18-inch gas pipeline was blown up in Jaffarabad district by miscreants on Saturday.
However, no casualties were reported. The militants had planted explosive material close to the gas pipeline in Dera Allah Yar that went off with a big bang, police said.
The pipeline was an alternate gas supply route for Quetta and other parts of northern and central Balochistan. Police have initiated a probe into the incident. No group or individual has so far claimed responsibility.
