LAHORE: The gap between supply and demand of electricity has widened 4600 megawatts in the country.
The loadshedding has been intensified both in rural and urban areas as power production has declined drastically. Urban localities are observing 18-hour loadshedding is every day, adding to the woes of the people. Business community said that electricity was supplied to them for only 186 hours during the month of March. The reports from rural areas suggest that electricity supply remained 150 hours in the month of March.
