19 Ramazan bazaars set up

FAISALABAD: One the eve of Ramazan, as many as 19 bazaars have been set up in the city to provide items for daily use on subsidised rates to consumers.

DCO Salman Ghani, talking to media, Ramazan Bazaars had been established on Jhang Road, Noorul Amin Colony on Millat Road, Riaz Shahid Chowk Islam Nagar, Millat Road near Star Petroleum and CNG, Factory Area, Sir Syed Town, Akbar Chowk, Gulistan Colony, Faizan-i-Madina Chowk, Fawara Chowk, Sumundri Road, Iron Market, Kaleem Shaheed Park, Adda Saddar on Jhang Road, Jinnah Colony, Chak Jhumra, Mamu Kanjan Tandlianwala, and Jaranwala Road.

The DCO checked the quality and prices of fruits and vegetables at the bazaars and directed the Ramazan Bazaar staff to ensure display of price lists at each stand. The DCO said hygiene at the bazaars should be maintained. He said sanitation staff should be on duty at all times. He also checked security arrangements. He reviewed the CCTV footage and directed the police to evolve a traffic management plan.
