19 Ramzan bazaars, 80 fair price shops to set up for citizens

FAISALABAD: City district government has decided to set up 19 Sastay Ramzan bazaars during the month of Ramzan ul mubarak in various parts of the district to provide essential items to consumers on controlled prices.

A spokesman of the city district government said here Thursday that fruits, vegetables, pulses, flour, sugar and other kitchen items would be available on subsidized rates.

Various departments/authorities including Agriculture, Waste Management Company, Parks & Horticulture Authority, Utility Stores Corporation, Livestock, Agriculture Extension, Labor, Market Committee, Water & Sanitation Agency, Health, Civil Defence and others have been directed to finalise plans for the facility of people during Sastay Ramzan bazaars which would be functional from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras would also be installed in and around Ramzan bazaars, besides strict security to provide safe and secure environment to customers, he added.

He further said that 225 Sehar/Iftaar Daster Khawans will also be arranged in district Faisalabad, besides providing daily use commodities on subsidized rates to the people through 80 fair price shops and 95 utility stores.
