FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa tells I&I officials to take action against tax evaders

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Bajwa has directed the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation officers to take action against tax evaders.

The FBR chief, during the first conference of the directorate, encouraged the intelligence unit to move forward without any fear.

The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation launched an operation against mega tax frauds and has now started recommending authorities to register FIRs against all those public sector employees who joined hands with evaders to cause massive losses to the national exchequer.

The chairman also congratulated the Intelligence and Investigation officers on their good performance. He stressed the need for forming SOPs for development of the organisational structure of the directorate general in order to transform it into a redoubtable deterrent against tax evasion.
