ISLAMABAD: Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Friday said first 660MW unit of Port Qasim Coal Power Plant has been synchronised and started supplying 120MW electricity to the national grid system.
The minister said that the project would generate 1320 MW electricity upon its completion, said a statement issued here Friday. Currently, the unit was on test run and was producing 120 MW, he said. The minister has congratulated nation and Team Power Division on the achievement.
