20-point agenda formulated under NAP: BoI Chairman for sectarian harmony

ISLAMABAD: Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Dr Miftah Ismail has stressed on promoting sectarian harmony for peace and prosperity in the country.

While talking to PTV, he said that there were a number of countries in the world where people, having different faith, lived together with complete harmony without interfering into each other’s religious matters.

He said there should be a peaceful co-existence for every citizen irrespective of cast and creed, and no one should dare to impose his point of view on others forcibly.

Replying to a question, he said the entire nation was on the same page to fight the menaces of extremism and terrorism, adding “It is the test for our nation and we have to defeat terrorism at every cost.”

Miftah said the government and law enforcement agencies were following the 20-point agenda formulated under the National Action Plan (NAP) to end terrorism from the country.

He underlined the need for bringing reforms in different sectors of the society so that anti-state elements could not find any kind of assistance for implementing their nefarious designs.
