200 companies from 12 countries: Largest poultry exhibition kicks off

LAHORE: Pakistan’s largest poultry exhibition, International Poultry Expo 2015 (IPEX), has started at the Expo Centre Lahore.

The patron-in-chief of poultry industry, Haji Basheer Ahmad of National Group of Industries, inaugurated the exhibition, while Pakistan Poultry Association Chairman Dr Mustafa Kamal, IPEX 2015 Chief Organiser Abdul Haye Mehta, ex-chairman Adbul Basit, Raza Khursand and several other industry figures were also present on the occasion.

Around 200 companies from 12 countries associated with the poultry industry are participating in the three-day IPEX 2015. People from different walks of life including students from different universities and colleges and doctors visited the expo and showed keen interest in the growing poultry industry. Dr Musta Kamal, while addressing the opening ceremony, said that poultry industry has found a new dimension by having investment in value added products. Mustafa was hopeful that the poultry industry will be doubled in five years as China is investing heavily in this sector.
