Three years, later, the management of the private housing society submitted for approval of that third phase of the housing society before the concerned officials of the City District Government of Gujranwala in 2008.

The concerned GDA officials told the ACE investigators that inordinate delay in the approval of the case of “Garden Town Gujranwala” housing scheme by the CDG Gujranwala and GDA officials caused a great financial loss of Rs. 00 million to the government due to the alleged mutual malpractice , corruption and departmental irregularities by the concerned officials of CDG Gujranwala and Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) as well.

Probing ACE officials said that as many as 6 Town Municipal Officers (TMOs) of Aroop Town, 10 Town Officers (TOs),  three building inspectors of CDG Gujranwala , Director Town Planning  and Deputy Director of Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) were directly responsible for this Rs 200 million financial scam, in this regard.
