2016 Honda Pilot comes with 3.5-liter V6 now develops 280 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque, more than previous generation

TOKYO: 2016 Honda Pilot engine will be more powerful. Indeed, the 3.5-liter V6 now develops 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, 30 horsepower and 7 lb-ft more than the previous generation.

This engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox while a nine-speed automatic transmission will be available in the high-end version of the Pilot. The latter gearbox combined with direct injection and Earth Dreams technologies will certainly help with fuel economy. The Japanese manufacturer has not however provided more information about the Pilot’s anticipated fuel economy.
