ISLAMABAD: More than 21 flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been cancelled owing to pilots strike.
The association of 430 PIA pilots – Pakistan Air Line Pilots Association (PALPA) went on strike to press their demands. A spokesman for the national flag carrier said that PIA had to operate fights on 125 sectors, but due to PALPA inciting pilots to go on strike, 21 have been cancelled so far.
According to the Pilots’ Association, they are protesting against apathy and incompetence of PIA management. They said that PIA was not adhering to their work agreement with pilots.
