NEW YORK: US aerospace giant Boeing booked 1,432 net orders worth $232.7 billion for commercial aircraft in 2004, breaking all records for new orders and deliveries.
The Boeing’s aircraft sales topped its previous record in 2007. The company’s backlog of unfilled orders climbed to 5,789, also an all-time high. For the second year in a row, the company said it had delivered a record number of airliners, at 723, as it stepped up production.
