24 DCs, 7 deputy directors, 3 second secretaries to take 20th Mid-Career Management Course

KARACHI: As many as 35 officers of BPS-18 of the Pakistan Customs Service have been selected for the 20th Mid-Career Management Course to be held after Eidul Fitr at the National Management College Lahore and the National Institute of Management Karachi, Customs Today has learnt.

As many as 24 deputy collectors, seven deputy directors, three second secretaries and a governance adviser will take part in the course.

In this regard, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Mgt-Customs-II Secretary Ghulam Ali Malik forwarded a letter No 1(2)/2006-M-II(Cus-II) asking for the submission of the medical certificates, sources said.

The deputy collectors attending the course are: Muhammad Saeed Watto of Collectorate of Customs Adjudication, Adeem Khan of Model Customs Collectorate, Sadia Sadaf of Appraisement-West, Muhammad Ali Malik of Model Customs Collectorate, Rizwan Mahmood of Appraisement-East, Zubair Shah of Appraisement-East, Tahir Abbas of Port Qasim-Export, Naghma-e-Tehniat of Model Customs Collectorate, Yousuf Ali Khan Magsi of Model Customs Collectorate, Kamran Ali Rana of Appraisement-East, Rizwan Bashir of Appraisement-East, Dr Kaukab Farooq of Customs Adjudication, Shafiqure Rehman of Customs Preventive, Mushtaq Ali Shahani of Model Customs Collectorate, Shahid Ali of Port Qasim, Ather Naveed of Port Qasim, Baasit Hussain of Customs Preventive, Wajid Ali of Model Customs Collectorate, Irum Sohail of Customs Preventive, Afzaal Ahmed of Customs Appraisement, Pirzada Muhammad Omar Qasmi of Customs Appraisement, Ataullah Shabir of Customs Appraisement-East, Afnan Khan of Model Customs Collectorate and Shakir Muhammad of Port Qasim-Exports.

The deputy directors are: Suleman Yaqub Khan of Directorate of Training and Research (Customs), Fahad Ali Chaudhry of Directorate General of Internal Audit (Customs), Shahid Jan of Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations, FBR, Salman Afzal of Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, FBR, Saadiya Noori of Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, FBR, Ali Raza Turabi of Directorate of IOCO-South, and Muhammad Tayyab of Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations, FBR.

The second secretaries are: Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi of Federal Board of Revenue (Headquarters), Muhammad Arshad Hayat Chaudhry of Federal Board of Revenue (Headquarters) and Ansir Anise of Federal Board of Revenue (Headquarters). The governance adviser is Naveed Aziz of the Department for International Development (DFID).
