250 patients examined, 40 referred to Al-Shifa Hospital: MOL arranges one-day free eye camp

HANGU: MOL Pakistan, in collaboration with Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Kohat and District Administration Hangu, has arranged a one-day free eye camp here at village Anar Cheena in the district, in which a large number of locals examined their eyesights.

The Community Relation Officers of MOL Pakistan were also present at the camp and facilitated the local community to avail this opportunity to the maximum. A medical team comprising of specialist doctors & paramedics from Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital had been arranged to provide free check-ups and appropriate management.

The OPD remained operational from 9:00 am to 2.00 pm in which a special team was dedicated for female patients. During the day’s activity about 250 patients including a large number of women were examined by the Doctors. Besides examination, prescribed medicines and spectacles were also provided to the patients on the spot, already arranged for the purpose.

About 40 patients were referred to Al-Shifa Trust, Eye Hospital Kohat for operations. MOL Pakistan will bear the medical expenses of patients that will be undergoing operation.

MOL Pakistan Managing Director/CEO Akos Grosz while commenting on the success of the camp said, “MOL Pakistan is working on a strategy of integrated development to help improve the living standard of the neighbouring communities. We are committed to provide basic amenities at the door step.”
