DHAKA: A maximum of 25,843 cattle heads were seized along the Indo-Bangladesh border in West Bengal followed by 3,772 cattle heads in Assam along the same border.
A total of 32,400 cattle heads have been seized along various Indian borders this year while they were being smuggled out.
Similar instances were also reported during the same period from along the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders of the country, Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju, said in a statement.
