NEW DELHI: Yu Yureka smartphone fresh sale will start today on Amazon India. There are as many as 25,000 units of Yureka phones on sale. The registration for the device has already closed at 2 PM on February 11.
The last flash sale of Yureka smartphone was over with all available devices 15,000 of them sold out in just four seconds on Amazon India, as claimed by Yu.
In its maiden sale on January 13, Yu claimed to have sold 10,000 units of its Yureka smartphone within three seconds but had faced backlash from customers for erroneously charging more. The ecommerce site had later apologised to buyers.
The second and third flash sales of Yureka smartphone took place on January 22 and 29.
Yu, the new online brand from Micromax, had launched its first smartphone running Cyanogen OS in India at a price of Rs 8,999 in January.
Yu Yureka runs Cyanogen OS 11 and not stock Android. The phone offers its users much more customisation than Android, maybe a bit too much for the price bracket. Cyanogen has tweaked its operating system a bit for Yu. The Yureka smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 720p HD display and comes with 4G LTE Cat4 modem, making it one of the cheapest 4G Android smartphone in the country. The other interesting feature is its 13 MP camera, which is quite rare in a sub-Rs 10,000 phone.
The Yureka smartphone competes directly with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.
