300 leading companies attend Jafza Business Seminar in France

PARIS: Jafza roadshow and business seminars in France, held last week, recorded a spectacular success. During the 4-day roadshow Jafza team interacted with a large number of French companies.

Jafza Seminars held in Paris and Lyon have together attracted 300 leading French companies from diverse sectors spanning from food, healthcare, machinery to automotive parts and logistics, who expressed their keen interest in exploring opportunities in the wider Middle East region, which Jafza as the trade and logistics hub serves.

Ibrahim Mohamed Aljanahi, Deputy CEO, speaking on the remarkable success of the Jafza roadshow in France said:

France is one of our key trade partners. The Jafza roadshow and business seminars focused on rapid all-round growth in the wider Middle East region and the huge long-term growth opportunities the region and Jafza offers to French Multinationals and SMEs. The strong growth posted by French companies in Jafza provided an added impetus to their desire to capitalize on the emerging prospects. We hope to see at least 10 per cent growth in the number of French companies in Jafza this year.”

The Jafza Business Seminar in Paris had 200 attendees that included leading French multinationals, SMEs, and several top government officials. HE Maadhad Hareb Meghair Jaber Alkhyeli, the Ambassador of UAE in France, in his brief welcome note talked about strong bilateral relation France and the UAE enjoys.

Ibrahim Mohamed AlJanahi, in his key note address stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral trade relations between the two countries. He also underlined historical relations between France and Dubai that goes back to last several decades. Aljanahi also talked about huge opportunities in the rapidly growing wider Middle East region that stretches from West Asia, Indian Subcontinent to Africa and the CIS for the French companies in all key sectors.

The Business Seminar was also addressed by Jafza – VP sales, Tariq Bin Ghalaita and Assistant Manager, Europe Region, Abdulaziz Redha, who talked about Jafza ‘s key offerings and opportunities the Free Zone, offers to investors.

The other speakers at the Seminar included Benoit Ronald, General Manager, EuroTech FZE, a Jafza based leading electronics company dealing in switchgears, who spoke about their remarkable growth journey in Jafza ; Francois Sporrer, Middle East Director, Business France UAE – French Trade Commission in Dubai, Pascal Maigniez, Director France and Benelux, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Paris; Thierry Lhoyer, Sales Manager and Pierfrancesco Carino, General Manager for South of France, Emirates who talked about various opportunities in the region and how they, as a facilitator, function.

Michael Kortbawi, Partner, Bin Shabib Associates, leading Dubai based Legal Consultants dealt in legal requirements and processes for setting up a business in Jafza.

The seminar included a panel discussion on setting up business in Dubai and in Jafza , which was very deftly moderated by Bertrand Dumon of Dumon & Partners, our agents in France.
