QUETTA: There are about 900 ghost school and 300,000 students with fake enrolment in Balochistan.
This was revealed by Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, while speaking at a gathering jointly organised by the provincial Education Department and Unicef to introduce a monitoring system for schools.
The chief minister said that some officials of the Education Department are running business of ghost schools, adding, “Such officials also took bribe for transfer and posting of teachers.”
He appealed to teachers to fulfil their responsibilities and perform their duty according to rules. He said Rs160 billion had been allocated in the budget for salaries of government employees and Rs40 billion for development projects.
